About

My name is Karen Ellis I am a member of the Training team at CareDocs, my role is “Trainer” I have numerous years’ experience in the Health and Social care sector. My aim in life has always been to support with developing a service that can offer the best there is to offer, for anyone and everyone that may need to use it. To “Caring to make a difference” in someone’s life. In 2017 I was approached by CareDocs and asked if I would be interested in joining the team at CareDocs. What a journey that has been! To be employed by a company that “Care”, want the best for everyone, enabling me to be the best I can be, which in turn benefits others to get the best out of technology and still deliver a high quality service. The journey has been eventful, technology was not my forte, in fact I found it quite “scary”. It is surprising what you can do! Here I am today offering that guidance and support to others in using technology. Everyday I support someone to use CareDocs to benefit all concerned.

Speciality

My career spans over 30 plus years of experience in the Health and Social are sector. I have spent nearly 24 years as a Registered Manager, caring for people from all walks of life. Supporting the sector in developing necessary skills, then developing good practices, hence, delivering a high-quality service to others. After years of developing my own skills, from Care related qualifications to Management qualifications, I decided to look for a career change. I decided to go into Learning and Development taking a qualification in Lifelong Learning to enable me to support others in the Health and Social care sector to develop team skills, still with the same aim to deliver a high-quality service for others. I have supported learning from, Classroom based to e-learning, supporting numerous people to develop the skills they required to get them on their career path.

Skills Expertise

My passion in life is to “Make a Difference” even if that is only in one person’s life, I feel I will then have achieved my life’s goal. Some years ago, I volunteered as a “Listening Samaritan” something I did for some years and found to be very rewarding, the knowledge of knowing I did and can “Make a difference”.
